Getting Started

System requirements:

You must be on a windows PC running XP, Vista or Windows 7 with ADMINISTRATOR permission level.

System Specs:

Cloud Hero is a 32 bit Windows application
Runs in XP, Vista and Windows 7
Cloud Hero uses "Low RAM" at "Low Priority"
MULTI-THREADING enabled for SPEED :)
.Net Framework 3.5 is required (you can download it from Microsoft at this location) or install Loud Hero and it will check for .NET 3.5 and provide you the likes to download it as part of the normal install.

Steps to getting Cloud Hero installed and up-and-running:

  1. A Wizard installer opens just answer the questions as they come up (self explanatory). You will then be asked to CLOSE the wizard when finished.

  2. Then go to your DESKTOP or START>PROGRAMS and double click on CLOUD HERO. This starts Cloud Hero and will show an ICON in your system tray (down by your system clock - right corner of your screen).

  3. If Cloud Hero SET-UP screen does not open automatically right click on the system tray Cloud Hero ICON and choose SETTINGS. You will see this image:

  4. Click on the LEFT side icons on the settings screen to set up each cloud service you subscribe to. In each cloud service window in the top right corner is a ADD ACCOUNT link hit this and you can add your User Name and Password information for that specific cloud service - like Google Docs Google Picasa and Box.net

  6. You can now drag-and-drop folder and files from your PC hard drive to your specific cloud service such as office type documents to Google Docs and images to Google Picasa etc. The files are automatically sent to the cloud service and can be viewed by logging into that cloud service through a web browser. In the image below all office type documents are sent to Google Docs (Word, Excel etc.) and the HTM (web file) is sent to box.net. The reason for this is box.net takes any type of file and Google will not take .htm file formats. Cloud Hero does all the sorting for you. You do not need to know what files go into what cloud service.

We also show you your version control files listed in the cloud - see image above - same file names listed with different date and time stamps.

Now lets have some fun!....and have Cloud Hero automatically synchronize files every 15 mins so your never working on an old file version.

  7. Go into Cloud Hero settings and set up a SYNCHRONIZATION folder (comes with paid version of Cloud Hero) and watch a file change every time you modify it either in the cloud browser or on your PC. This synch process happens every time your online and every 15 min's and is totally automatic behind the scenes so you can keep doing your work without interruption.
